The Spathiphyllum plant is a great house  plant! Because winter is just around the corner, it is a good time to think about indoor plants. The Spathiphyllum plant, also known as the Peace Lily, produces a white bloom known as a Spathe and has lush, dark green leaves.  They come in various sizes, however, the most common ones we carry come in 6″ and 8″ pots.  The Spathiphyllum plant prefers low light and the soil should be moist. If your plant does become dry,  a good drink of water will make it perk  back up again. A room temperature of 65-70 degrees is ideal. Be sure to avoid  drafts,  both hot or cold.  The Spathiphyllum plant cleans indoor air of many environmental contaminants, including benzene, formaldehyde, and other pollutants. The Spathiphyllum is native to South America and South East Asia.

The Spathiphyllum is an ideal plant to gives as a gift. It is a very low maintenance plant. It is a suitable choice for almost any occasion such as Birthdays, Get Wells,  Offices as well as an expression of Sympathy. And, of course, a great plant to buy for your own home.
